Andwerp is a Flemish city in Belgium, Europe. It has a very important river crossing the town, named the "Schelde" river.
There I discovered a lot of interesting places and things.
The first incredible place that I want to mention is its train station, one of the top 10 most beautiful train stations in the world.
Secondly, another place that I really liked is the plaza in front of the city town, named in Flemish "Grote Markt"
In fact, the city town building has an incredible decoration. There is one flag for each nationality that lives in the town. What a beautiful tradition!
The cathedral is a remarkable place, because of its gold decorations.
From the other side of the Schelde river, there is a nice view of the city skyline.
There are two options to cross the river:
-By a free ship, available for pedestrians and bikers
-By an underground tunnel. That's a free option too.
Finally, the best bird view from the city is in the "MAS" museum (Museum aan de Stroom).
It has no cost and you are going to find this views...
