In Catalonia, northeast of Spain, there is the most beautiful lake of the region. It is named Banyoles Lake, because it is located in "Banyoles" village.
In a sunny day the water of the lake is turquoise. It is the habitat of several animals, including green ducks.
Banyoles Lake is a very popular place for sports, because it is where the rowing competitions took part during the 1992 Barcelona Olympics.
Nowadays there is a rowing team that use the lake for training and competitions too.
The best activity is to rent a little boat, that cost 5€ per person and per hour (last update 2017).
