The Ebro Delta is a magical and special place. It is located at the south of Catalonia Region, at the northeast of Spain.
Why is it so special?
It is a place full of nature, wildlife and agriculture. With fresh air, nice people and delicious typical foods.
It is a very large place, so you will need to stay there several days.
All the delta is a reality thanks of all the sediments that the Ebro river brings to its river mouth.
The most authentic town at the Delta is called "Poblenou del Delta". It means "new town" in Catalan, the language of Catalonia.
At this town you will find the typical white houses of the area. The streets are full of palm trees and all the people greet you at the street.
The most incredible beach is "Trabucador" beach.
It is very big, I felt like I was at the desert.
The most important thing to me is that it is a natural beach, with no apartments and houses, just nature.
Finally, I recommend you to take the cruise through the Ebro river. It takes one hour and it is cheap.

Don't miss to eat the typical soupy rice with "galera" a seafood similar to shrimps (Mantis shrimp).

Near this beach, at the lagoons you will see pink flemish! They live there all year long.
